Designed by the South African champion Hugh Baiocchi in 1994 in a former hunting reserve of the east coast of the island in Belle Mare beach, the course stretches over 6581 yd Par 72, along one of the most beautiful beaches of the Island.
Despite its rather generous fairways and greens in their size, this 18-hole course is very technical and numerous lakes strategically placed surprise even the best golfers.
Wide fairways plotted in the heart of the indigenous forest, large greens with a dreadful putting, this course will excite the best players! Although situated on the seafront, you can also see the sea at hole 17 which opens onto Bras Requin Bay. This is the most spectacular hole, a delicate Par 3 that marks the memories.
This is a golf course that will be enjoyed mostly by experienced players, beginners usually prefering the other course at Belle Mare Plage: The Links.
Since 1994, professionals and amateurs have been meeting every year on this course for the Mauritius Golf Open.
